Dorothy P. Dronsfield

Dorothy P. Dronsfield, 79, of Mount Penn, passed away at Reading Hospital on October 6, 2021. Born on May 8, 1942, in Reading, she was the daughter of Harry Troop, Sr. and Neomi C. Troop. Dorothy was the loving wife of Ralph J. Dronsfield, until his passing in 2009. Dorothy later found a life partner, Ronald Eshbach, whom she loved deeply until his passing in 2017.

She worked at the Lincoln Hotel in the housekeeping department. 

Dorothy became part of the Prospectus Berco family in 2009 and was lovingly known as a diva, always had her nails painted and enjoyed wearing her jewelry. She absolutely loved life and could light up a room with her friendly smile. Dorothy spread happiness wherever she went and usually had a quick and witty response to everything. She loved vacationing and going on cruises. 

Dorothy is survived by her three brothers: Charles Troop, of Sinking Spring, Richard Troop (Dawn), of The Villages, Florida, and Harry Troop, Jr. (Margaret) of Reading. In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by her sisters: Anne Messimer and Doris Snow.

A memorial service for Dorothy will be held on Tuesday, October 12th, 2021, at 11:00AM at Stitzel Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. A viewing will begin at 10:00AM. Burial will follow at Berks County Memorial Gardens, 201 Evansville Road, Fleetwood.
