Edna Machemer

Edna Jane Machemer, 88, died December 10, 2025 at her Laureldale residence.

Born December 5, 1937, in Reading, she was a daughter of the late John A. and Minnie Minerva (Schell) Machemer.

She was employed with Muhlenberg School District, as a custodian, for 26 years, retiring in 2000.

Edna was a member, and eventually a preacher with God’s Bible Holiness Church, Orwigsburg for over 45 years.

She enjoyed the time she spent with her family.

Surviving is her sister, Jeannette Weber of Exeter Township, her four nephews, and her three nieces.

Edna was preceded in death by her brother, Clarence A. Machemer, and by her two sisters, Caroline Lamp and Fern Reber.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale.  A viewing will be held from 10-11 a.m.  Burial will follow at Kissinger Cemetery, Wyomissing.
