Edna C. "Jackie" (Sterner) Sanders

Edna C. “Jackie” (Sterner) Sanders, 76, of Muhlenberg Township, died July 5, 2018 at Penn State Health – St. Joseph, Bern Township.

She was the wife of Norman E. Sanders, Jr. to whom she was married for 22 years.

Born March 15, 1942 in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Eugene and Erma C. (Wise) Sterner.

Jackie graduated Reading High School, and then went on to earn her Associate’s Degree from RACC.

She was employed in quality control with Arrow International, and subsequently, Lucent Technologies, where she retired from in 2004.

Jackie loved spending time at the beach, especially at her beach house in Delaware.  She also always enjoyed time spent with her family.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are her four children: Michele A., wife of John Tobias of Fleetwood; Shelly S. Wails of Mohnton; Lisa R., wife of Ainsley Vickers of Melbourne, FL and Bryan S. Yale of Mohnton.

There are also seven grandchildren and one great granddaughter surviving. 

Jackie was predeceased by her brother, John Sterner.

A Memorial Service will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at Spring Valley Church of God, 2727 Old Pricetown Road, Temple, PA 19560.  Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
