Elena DiToto, 94, formerly of Forestville, MD, died May 21, 2026 at Lutheran Home at Topton, Longswamp Township.
She was the widow of Mike DiToto, who died August 20, 2002. They had shared 39 years of marriage.
Born September 9, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Vincenza (Brizzi) Aloisi.
Elena was employed with Filomena Ristorante, Washington, DC, for 22 years, where she was known as a “Pasta Mamma.”
She was a past member of Holy Rosary R.C. Church, Washington, DC.
Elena enjoyed crocheting and knitting, babysitting children, which she did regularly over the years, traveling with her daughter and her family, and going to flea markets and antiquing. Lastly, Elena was very disciplined and never waved from her daily tasks, other than to watch her soap operas.
Elena is survived by her daughters, Michelle E. Eschbach, wife of Charlie L. of West Lawn; and her daughter-in-law, Teresa DiToto of Flatwoods, WV.
She is also survived by two grandchildren, Michael A. and Lily A. Eschbach.
Elena was preceded in death by her son, Anthony DiToto who died in 2015, and her granddaughter, Mary D. Laliberte who died in 2017, and her three siblings, Splendora Ricenelli, Livio Aloisi, and Italo Aloisi.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, May 29th at 10 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, 8908 Old Branch Ave., Clinton, MD 20735. A viewing will be held from 9:30-10 a.m. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton, MD.
