Elizabeth Pacella Obituary

Elizabeth “Betty” (Valenti) Pacella, 91, a resident of Berks Heim, Bern Township, formerly of Penns Crossing, Sinking Spring, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2024.

Elizabeth was a most beloved, devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and aunt.

Born in Reading, PA, she was the youngest of six children, and the daughter of Paul and Julia (Nicolo) Valenti.

She was predeceased by her five siblings: Margaret Leardi, Martha Miller, Rose Smith, Arthur Valenti, and Lydia Nowatarski.

Elizabeth graduated from Reading High School in 1950, where she was the head majorette and Eastern Bible Institute in 1957.

She worked at Pomeroy’s Department Store from 1964 until 1979, where she was a buyer, followed by various clerical positions, until her retirement at age 75.

A true, dedicated woman of God, Elizabeth attended GT Church, West Lawn.  Her faith and love of Jesus blessed her entire family.

She is survived by her daughter Maureen, wife of Dr. David Huber, Wyomissing; and her son, David, husband of Lisa Pacella, Ponte Vedra, FL.

Elizabeth was affectionately known as “Nanie” to her six precious grandchildren: Heather E. Huber, Brittany A. Reynolds, (Tony) David A. Pacella, Krista M. Pacella, Joshua J. Pacella, and Matthew D. Huber; and five great grandchildren: Everly, Violet, Jada, Roman, and Jaci.

She cherished her family, loved to watercolor and cook.

Thank you to everyone at Berks Heim for their tender, loving care of her.

A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent in her memory to GT Church, 1110 Snyder Road, West Lawn, PA 19609.
