Elizabeth Lillah “Betty” (DeGuevara) Pipi, 99, died November 1, 2022 in her Oley residence.
She was the widow of Louis P. Pipi who died February 4, 2013.
Born April 29, 1923, in Lima, Peru, she was a daughter of the late Carlos and Peggy Lilliah (Barnard) DeGuevara.
She was a graduate of Pitmans College, London, England.
Elizabeth was employed as an executive secretary with DeBeers Diamond Mines, London, England, until she moved to the United States in 1946. She became a U.S. citizen in 1952. Elizabeth also work at DuPont, and then the Louis P. Pipi Agency until retirement.
She was known to others as a very humble, caring and giving woman. She donated to numerous animal charities.
Elizabeth is survived by two children: David M. Mitchell of Spring Lake Heights, NJ; and Eva L. Mitchell of Myerstown.
Also surviving are four grandchildren.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by a son, Douglas M. Mitchell, and by one grandchild.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at 11 a.m. St. Catharine’s Cemetery, 1100 W. Chicago Blvd., Sea Girt, NJ.
