Ellen Stichter

Ellen Frances (Amey) Stichter, 89, died November 20, 2021, in her Temple residence.

She was the widow of William “Red” Riegel who died in 1966.

Born, December 8, 1931, in Phillipsburg, NJ, she was a daughter of the late John Henry Amey, Sr. and Frances Ellen (Seguine) Amey.

Ellen was a 1949 graduate of Phillipsburg High School.

She was employed as a manager at Germantown Savings Bank, Muhlenberg Township, for a number of years, retiring in 1989.

Ellen enjoyed going on long car rides, gardening, and was a member of the Checkered Flag Fan Club.

Surviving are her three children: Colleen F. (Riegel), wife of David Houtz of Temple; Lee W. Riegel of Los Angeles, CA; and Scott E. Stichter of Temple.

Ellen was preceded in death by her brother, John H. “Jack” Amey, Jr.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
