Fay Ruth (Kreitz) Rader

Fay Ruth (Kreitz) Rader, 86, of Wyomissing, died October 8, 2023 in her son’s Spring Township residence.

She was the widow of Gene Arlen Rader who died April 4, 2011.

Born in West Reading, PA on April 21, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Alton C. and Catherine M. (Becker) Kreitz.

Fay was a 1955 graduate of Governor Mifflin High School.

She was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ, Shillington.

Fay was employed for a number of years as an operator with Bell Telephone.

She last worked as a sales clerk with Attic Discoveries, West Reading, before retiring in 1995.

Fay is survived by her son, Michael G., husband of Angela M. (Martin) Rader of Spring Township.

She was the proud grandmother of three grandchildren: Dustin M., husband of Katie (Tressel) Rader of Pittsburgh; Shelby N. (Rader), wife of David R. Ammon of Cumru Township; and Travis M. Rader of Spring Township; and one great granddaughter, Peyton Nicole Ammon.

Fay will also be missed by her dog, Zoey.

She was predeceased by her older brother, Raymond Kreitz; and Theodore Becker who was like a brother. 

Fay loved her grandchildren and spending time with her family.

She also enjoyed flea markets and thrift shops.

A viewing will be held Friday, October 13th from 1:00 PM until 2:00PM, with services beginning at 2:00 PM in Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale.

Burial will be in Laureldale Cemetery.
