Frank P. "Sonny" Natale

Frank “Sonny” Natale, 84, died July 23, 2021 in his Muhlenberg Township residence.

He was the widower of Sharon G. (Gundry) Natale, with whom he shared 37 years of marriage.  

Born, August 10, 1936, in Birdsboro, he was a son of the late Vincenzo and Florence (Petrillo) Natale.

Sonny was employed with Carpenter Technology for 30 years, retiring in 1995.  

He was a lifelong member of Victor Emmanuel II Beneficial Association, Reading.

Surviving are his three sons: Michael W., husband of Tina M. (Talarico) Natale of Exeter Township; Jeffrey S., husband of Theresa L. (Monde) Natale of Muhlenberg Township; and David J., husband of Jenean (Deisher) Natale of Muhlenberg Township.

Also surviving are his nine grandchildren: Vanessa Reynolds; Jaime Natale, fiance of Lee Moschak; Adam Natale, husband of Kari; Ryan Natale; Alexandra Natale, partner of Shane Adams; Tessa Natale; Melissa Natale-Sangoju, wife of Sree Sangoju; Dante Natale, partner of Sarah Long; Gabrielle Natale, fiance of Evan Swoyer; and Heather Natale, fiance of Blake Devine.

There are also eight great grandchildren: Nathan, Zackary, Seraphina, Maddalina, Ella, Carly, Dominic and Rhys.

In addition, he is survived by his sister, Elizabeth, widow of John Otto of Mohnton; his brother, Joseph G., husband of Renee Natale of Reading; and his sister-in-law, Angela “Dolly” Natale.

Frank was preceded in death by his son, Vincent Natale, and by seven siblings: Rose Lattanzio, Mary Dietrich, Luke Natale, Josephine Bauer, Florence Pizzuto, Vincent Natale and Anna D’Antonio.

Services will be held Friday, July 30th at 11 a.m. at Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale.  A viewing will be held from 9-11 a.m.  Burial will follow the services at Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.
