Gary A. Stufflet, Sr.

Gary Arthur Stufflet, Sr., of Oley, died April 30, 2022, in Penn State Health St. Joseph’s Medical Center.
Born January 17, 1964, at Reading Hospital, he was a son of Carol A. (Lengel) Stufflet and Henry A
Stufflet, Jr.
He was the husband of Kathy F. (Downer) Stufflet. They were married June 27, 1987.
Gary was employed by the Oley Township Municiple Authority for over 25 years, following in not only
his father’s, but also his grandfather’s, footsteps. He had been a part of the Oley Fire Company and
Ambulance Crew as an engineer and EMT and paramedic assistant for over 10 years.
He enjoyed his time in FFA in high school, where he graduated in the OVHS Class of 1982. He was an
active member at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, where he served as council president, youth
group, as well as various committees and other miscellaneous activities throughout the years. He also
loved being outdoors, including working around his home and camping over the weekends through the
spring and summer. He was a Cub Scout and Boy Scout Leader with Pack and Troop 569.
Gary was the caring father to two children: Gary Jr. and Monica. He is survived by his mother, and by his
brothers Greg A., husband of Linda (Vanderpool), and Henry A. III, husband of Dawn (Hess). He is also survived by
numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father in 2016.
Services will be held Saturday, May 7 at 10:30 am at Christ Evangelical Church, 325 Covered Bridge Road,
Oley. There will be a private Lunch for the family afterward.
