Gloria Ann (Bloch) Lombardo, a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend known for her warm hospitality and unwavering love for her family, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2025, at the age of 92 at the Wyomissing Health and Rehabilitation Center, Reading.
Born, April 3, 1932, in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Charles Leonard and Florence Mae (Katzenmoyer) Bloch.
She was the widow of John Lombardo who died in 1986.
Gloria was a 1950 graduate of Reading High School.
Gloria cherished her daughters and was a proud grandmother to her five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Her family was the center of her world, and she took immense pride in their achievements.
Surviving Gloria are her two daughters: Lynn, widow of Stephen Strunk of Pittsburgh, PA; and Michele, wife of Gregory Cuppan of Sandy, UT.
Also surviving are her five grandchildren: Megan (Greider), wife of John Farr; Stephen Strunk, Jr., husband of Andrea; Jessica Strunk; Ashley (Cuppan), wife of Ryan Fitzgerald; and Patrick Strunk.
She is also survived by seven great grandchildren: Colin Farr, Caden Farr, Emma Strunk, Sage Strunk, Stephen Donald Strunk, Madison Fitzgerald, and Rosalyn Fitzgerald.
She was employed as an administrative assistant with Crompton and Knowles Corp., Reading, for 20 years, while previously working 20 years as the Office Manager at Century 21 - John Lombardo Agency.
A prayer service to celebrate Gloria's life will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. Friends and family are invited to honor her memory and share stories of the love and kindness she brought into their lives. Interment will follow at 2 p.m. at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township.
