Gloria Jean Otto, 80, of Muhlenberg Township, died June 5, 2024 at Tower Health – Reading Hospital, West Reading.
She was the loving wife of Richard Gerard Otto, with whom she shared almost 45 years of marriage.
Born May 3, 1944, in Robesonia, she was a daughter of the late Alvin J. and Anna M. (Bordner) Forry.
Gloria was a 1962 graduate of Tulpehocken High School. She began her college career at Western State College, CO, and graduated with her BA, from Penn State University in 1968.
She was employed as a language arts teacher with Schuylkill Valley School District for 32 years, retiring in 2000.
She was a member of Flying Dutchman Ski Club, Keystone Canoe Club, Pequea Ski and Crutch Club and Pequea Boat Club.
Gloria loved skiing, water skiing, snow skiing, biking, and traveling.
Surviving in addition to her husband, are her three siblings: Mildred Forry of Bern Township, Pearl (Forry) Boone, widow of Donald of New Jersey; and Richard Forry, husband of Christine (Riegel) of Bernville.
Services will be held Thursday, June 13th at 11 a.m. at Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. A viewing will be held from 10-11. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery.
