Gloria Reinert Obituary

Gloria A. (Kohl) Reinert, 92, formerly of Oley and Alsace Townships, died December 22, 2023 in Chestnut Knoll Residential Care, Boyertown.

She was married on August 26, 1950 to the late Howard Eugene Reinert (1930 – 2018).

Born in Shillington, PA on September 25, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Leroy F., and Leola J. (Levan) Kohl.

Gloria was a 1950 graduate of Mount Penn High School.

She was a former member of Bethany Lutheran Church, Stony Creek and Zion Spies Lutheran Church, Alsace Township.

Gloria was the secretary to the principal at Oley Township Elementary School. In 1984, after her 26 years of service she started a 10-year career with Carpenter Technology, in the order entry department, before retiring in 1996.

She loved living on their farm where her family was always her focus.

Gloria loved cooking and baking. She enjoyed entertaining and hosted many gatherings for family and friends.

She was very active with her children as they grew up; volunteering in various positions, including being a den mother for Cub Scouts, and a leader with Camp Fire Girls to name a few.

Gloria is survived by three children: Gary L., husband of Linda L. (Schlegel) Reinert of Alsace Township; William H. Reinert, husband of Alfred F. Daiboch of Pine Plains, New York; and Linda R. (Reinert), wife of Thomas A. Grace, of Landis Store.

Affectionately known as “MomMom”, she was regularly seen attending music and sporting events for her three grandchildren: Michael L. Reinert, companion of Jennifer McMullen of Fleetwood; David A., husband of Kellie (Evans) Reinert of Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne County; and Todd A. Grace of Breinigsville, Lehigh County.

Gloria was also the proud great grandmother to four great grandchildren: Abigail, Zachary, Ruby, and Scarlet Reinert.

One of five children born to Leroy and Leola, she is survived by her sister, Joyce L. (Kohl), wife of Charles Hinnershitz, Jr., of Mount Penn, and was predeceased by three siblings: Kenneth L. Kohl; Betty Jane (Kohl) Dague; and Sherwood S. Kohl.
