Gregory J. Skitko, 62, of Oley, Pa., passed away December 30, 2023, in Reading Hospital after bravely fighting cancer. Greg’s loving wife, Michelle B. (Peake) Skitko, and other close family members were by his side.
Born October 31, 1961, in Pottstown, Pa., Greg was the son of Mary Ann (Sheer) Skitko and the late Andrew R. Skitko, Sr.
He and Michelle were married April 15, 2000.
Greg earned his Associate’s Degree in Applied Science in Industrial Management at Reading Area Community College, graduating with a 4.0 average. Most recently, he was employed as a maintenance technician for Cushman Wakefield at West Pharmaceuticals, Exton.
Greg loved music and for years played keyboards and sang in a local band, Sleepless Nights.
He and Michelle doted on their pet Weimaraner, Storm.
Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are his brother, Andrew Jr. and his wife, Cathy; nephew Andrew Skitko III and his wife, Ksenia; nephew Nicholas Skitko and his wife, Stephanie; and brother-in-law Kurt Brown and his wife, Criss.
A celebration of life will be held at a date to be determined at the Oley Valley Fish and Game Club, where Greg loved to shoot targets and socialize with dear friends.
