Harry Carl Rumer, 82, of Pocono Lake, Monroe County, died December 17, 2025 in Boyertown.
The loving husband of Linda Mae (Chandler) Rumer, they have shared 52 beautiful years of marriage.
Born July 3, 1943, in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Paul Walten Rumer, Sr. and Clyta Mae (Bond) Rumer.
Harry was a graduate of Clarks Private School, Philadelphia.
He was employed as a textile machinist with Wayne Mills, Philadelphia for 56 years, retiring in 2015.
Harry was a member of Pocono Lake Bible Church.
His relationship with Jesus was central to his life and gave him peace and purpose.
A true outdoorsman, Harry was also a bird enthusiast and loved fishing. In addition, Harry was an accomplished artist, a hobby which he enjoyed for many years.
Harry was the father of 12 children: Duane C. Rumer of Philadelphia; Scott D. Rumer, husband of Meredith L. Rumer of Narvon; Sharon L. Foster, wife of Charles T. Foster of Philadelphia; Paul J. Rumer, husband of Tara E. Rumer of Milton, DE; Donna J. Malone, wife of Patrick M. Malone of Bluffton, SC; Cindy M. Croy, wife of Wesley D. Croy of Honey Brook; Allan W. Rumer, husband of Liesl L. Rumer of Pocono Lake; Carl A. Rumer (Deceased 1/22/1986); Charles D. Rumer, husband of Christine A. Rumer of Bluffton, SC; Richard T. Rumer, husband of Brittany N. Rumer of Lakeland, FL; Nancy K. Rumer of Bluffton, SC; and Wesley E. Rumer, husband of Stephanie L. Rumer of Feasterville.
He was the proud grandfather of 40 and great grandfather of 13.
Harry was the brother of Paul W. Rumer of Perkasie, Janet Rumer of Cleveland, TN and Patricia Rumer of Barrington, NJ.
He also had many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Monday, December 22, 2025 at 12 noon at Friedens Lutheran Church, 1076 Memorial Highway, Oley, PA 19547. A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. in the church. Burial will follow at Oley Cemetery.
