Heidi Maria Gambler

Heidi Maria Gambler, 64, of Reading, passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at Tower Health Reading Hospital. 

She was the loving wife of Jeffrey Gambler, whom she married September 23, 1978. 

Born July 14, 1960, in Temple, PA, she was the daughter of the late Oswald P. Hampel Sr. and Ursula (Schutt) Hampel. 

Heidi was a 1978 graduate of Muhlenberg High School. After graduating highschool she went on to work in retail where she has had numerous jobs. In her free time she loved to watch the birds and squirrels in her backyard. When she wasn't admiring nature she would be playing her favorite phone games. 

Surviving are two children, Jamie Patel of Lyon Station, PA, and Lindsey Gambler, wife of Santa Ruiz of Reading, PA. 

Also surviving is one sister, Gisella Lawrence, wife of Guy Lawrence, of Leesport, PA, and one brother-in-law, Charles Gambler Jr., husband of Barbara Kennedy-Gambler. 

She is also survived by her beloved pets, her dog, Gracie, and her cat, Mabel.

Heidi was predeceased by her brother, Oswald Hampel Jr. 

A viewing will be held Monday, June 30, 2025 from 10 am to 11 am at the Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., Laureldale. A service will follow after at 11 am at the same location. Burial will take place at Berks County Memorial Gardens.
