Herbert “Herbie” Wayne Coldren Jr, 85, of Bern Township, passed away peacefully Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at the St. Francis Home.
He was the loving husband of Anna May (Hoffman) who he married on June 29, 1957.
Born November 11, 1939, in Reading, PA, he was the son of the late Herbert Coldren Sr. and Sarah (Orrs).
Herbie attended Reading High School and found work early in his life to help provide for his family. He was a truck driver for Hall’s Motor and AWI.
Herbie loved to watch and attend NASCAR races and cheer on his Penn State Nittany Lions. Spending time with his family always brought a smile to his face.
Surviving are two children, Michele (Coldren), wife of Darren Mastrangelo of Fleetwood, and James Coldren of Robesonia. He was predeceased by his son, Scott Coldren Sr. (2006).
Also surviving are four grandchildren: Faith Coldren, wife of Julio Rodriguez Mazo, of Olympia, WA; Scott Coldren Jr., partner of Jen Stebbins of Robesonia; Jessica Mastrangelo of Fleetwood; and Olivia Mastrangelo of Fleetwood.
Herbie leaves behind four great grandchildren: Teagyn Mulholland; Wyatt Weimert; Leonora Rodriguez Coldren; and Raúl Rodriguez Coldren.
Two siblings are surviving, Grace Dunkelburger, widow of Donald of Florida, and Catherine Harvey of Reading, PA.
