Howard Lee Strunk

Howard Lee Strunk, 73, of Spring Township, passed away July 6, 2024 at Tower Health – Reading Hospital, West Reading.

He was the loving husband of Beth Ann (Hirst) Strunk, with whom he shared 45 years of marriage.

Born May 19, 1951, in Manayunk, PA, he was a son of the late Howard Strunk, and Dolores (McNulty) Strunk.

Howard was a graduate of Roxborough High School and attended St. Joseph University, Philadelphia.

He was employed with Conrail as an IT Analyst for 32 years. At the time of their buyout, he moved on to SEI Investments, retiring in 2011.

Howard was an avid golfer, a Philadelphia sports fan, and loved spending time with his grandchildren. He had a special close bond with his grandson, Austin. 

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are his two children: Jason, husband of Elizabeth (Stewart) Strunk of Collegeville and Amy Strunk, significant other to Ryan Mainer of Dover, York County.

Also surviving are his three grandchildren: Austin Miller, Emily and Taylor Strunk.

Howard is survived by his brother Stephan Strunk, husband of Joanne (Pisacano) Strunk and was predeceased by his sister Maryann (Strunk) Albright.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, July 19th at 11 a.m. at Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 423 Main Street, Oley.  A visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m.
