Isabelle Dawn Moyer

Isabelle Dawn Moyer, 89, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2021. She was the widow of Luther LaFrance Moyer. Born July 14, 1932, Isabelle was the daughter of Clarence H. and Mary Barbara (Graul) Spangler. 

She was a 1950 graduate of Reading High School. After graduation, she worked for the Bell Telephone Company. Later, she sold fine jewelry at Boscov’s North. 

Isabelle’s faith was very important to her. She had been a member of Epiphany Lutheran Church in Temple where she taught Sunday school and was a member of the Choir. She loved reading the Bible and engaging in studies. Isabelle also enjoyed playing tennis, bridge, and completing crossword puzzles. 

Surviving are her children: Linda M., wife of William Hain, of Muhlenberg Township, Lisa L., wife of Allan Gasser, of Shillington, and Zachary R. Moyer, of Temple. Isabelle is also survived by her grandchildren: Jessica, wife of Joseph Motz, of Sinking Spring, Tiffany, wife of Jarrod Wagner, of Pottstown, and Laura Hain, of Temple. She leaves behind her great-grandchildren: Natalie, Brayden, Olivia, Colin and Caitlyn. In addition, she is survived by her siblings: Clarence Spangler, husband of Patricia, and Mary, wife of Scott Balthaser. A sister-in-law, Eileen Spangler, also survives. She is preceded in death by two brothers: Robert and Walter Spangler. 

A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 6 at 2PM at the Stitzel Family Funeral Home & Crematory, 3300 Kutztown Road, Temple. A viewing will begin at 1PM at the funeral home.
