Jacob Leon Reider

Jacob Leon Reider, 86 of Oley, passed away August 14, 2024 in Sinking Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation.  

He was the husband of the late Kathleen Elaine Reider, who passed away in 2019.

Born September 7, 1937, in Boyertown, PA, he was the son of the late Charles C.& Minnie (Althouse) Reider.

Jacob was a 1955 graduate of Oley High School. 

He was employed by Fleetwood Tannery as a cutter and retired in 2005. 

Jacob was a local antique collector of beer advertising and was an active part of the Oley Youth Organization and legion baseball.  

He is survived by his children: Darrell A., husband of Hong Reider of Muhlenberg Township and Crystal A. Reider of Laureldale. Grandchildren: Bryce J. Rhoades, Andrew J. Reider and Sadelynn Ortiz.

Great Granddaughter: Josephine Rhoades and a Sister in law:  Ruth Reider of Pike township. 

Jacob was preceded in death by his siblings: William Reider, Elsie Unbeneski and Alice Werner. 

A Funeral Service will be held Monday, August 19th at 11am Stitzel Funeral Home, 423 Main Street, Oley PA 19547. A viewing will be held from 10-11 at the funeral home. 

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to a charity of choice.
