James D. Yakaitis

James D. Yakaitis, 61, died February 12, 2024, in his Temple residence.

He was the widower of Barbara L. (Michael) Yakaitis.

Born June 24, 1962, he was a son of the late Joseph Vincent and Anna Elizabeth (Gillis) Yakaitis.

James was a 1981 graduate of Muhlenberg High School.

He was employed as a custodial with Muhlenberg School District for 30 years.

James was a member of Holy Guardian Angels R.C. Church, Hyde Park.

He is survived by his brother, Joseph E. Yakaitis of Harrisburg. 

James enjoyed NFL football and Nextel Cup Racing.  He also enjoyed golfing and bowling years ago.

Services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale.  A visitation will be held from 9:30-10:30 a.m.  Burial will be at Berks County Memorial Gardens, Maidencreek Township.
