Janice Louise Seyfert, 82, of Muhlenberg Township, died February 4, 2018 at Penn State Health – St. Joseph, Bern Township.
She was the wife of David Joseph Seyfert, Sr., with whom she shared 62 years of marriage.
Born October 21, 1935 in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Ethel (Finkbone) Umbenhower.
Janice enjoyed reading and doing crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed dining out and was the life of every party. Above all else, however, she loved spending time with her sisters and grandchildren.
Also surviving are her five children: Connie M., wife of David R. Bernhard of Stevens; Beverly A., wife of Jeffrey L. Kline of Phoenixville; Ricky E. Seyfert of Muhlenberg Township; Christine L., wife of Joseph W. Talarigo of Bethel and Todd M., husband of Alison S. Seyfert of Mohnton.
Other survivors include her four siblings: Larry Umbenhower of Temple, Nancy Bliesath of Reading, Gloria Freese of Muhlenberg Township and Patricia Fisher of Muhlenberg Township.
There are also six grandchildren: Casey R. Bernhard, Mickey D. Bernhard, Ashley M. Akins, Nicholas J. Macciocca, Jolynn N. Talarigo and Nathan D. Talarigo and seven great grandchildren.
Janice was predeceased by her son, David Joseph Seyfert, Jr.
Services will be held Saturday, February 10th at 11:30 a.m. in Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. A viewing will be held from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Burial will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Tilden Township.
