Janice Diane (Fick) Tothero

Janice Diane Tothero, 74, or Muhlenberg Township, died December 25, 2024 in Tower Health / Reading Hospital.

She was the widow of Allen Webster Tothero (1950-1992), whom she married November 25, 1972.

Born in Reading, Pa on August 22, 1950, she was a daughter of the late George D., and Dorothy M. (Manwiller) Fick.

Janice was a 1968 graduate of Oley Valley High School and a 1972 graduate of Kutztown State Teachers College.

She was a former member of Christ United Church of Christ, Temple, where she served on the consistory.

Janice was a 3rd grade teacher in Perry Elementary School with the Hamburg School District for 40 ½ years, retiring in 2013.

She was a former committee member of Boy Scout Troop #171; and was an avid Phillies fan.

Janice is survived by two children: Daniel W. Sr., husband of April D. (Leberfinger) Tothero of Exeter Township and Christen D. Tothero, long term partner of Thomas Lowes of Muhlenberg Township.

She enjoyed spending time with and was the proud grandmother of Daniel W. Tothero Jr.

Janice is also survived by her beloved pug olive, and a variety of other grandpets she loved dearly.

She was predeceased by her younger sister, Donna (Fick) Burkert.
