Jean (Breitegam) Manwiller, 90, of Exeter Township, died November 16, 2021, in her daughter’s residence in Fredericksburg, VA.
She was the widow of Leon Stewart Manwiller, who died September 20, 1999.
Born, June 24, 1931, in Exeter Township, she was a daughter of the late Paul Breitegam, Sr. And Mary Ellen “Ella” (Wegman) Breitegam.
Jean was a 1949 graduate of Muhlenberg High School.
She was employed as a sewing machine operator with various clothing factories for 40 years. Subsequently, she worked in the cafeteria of Oley Valley Elementary School for 3 years, last working in 1999.
Jean was a member of Zion-Spies Evangelical Reformed Church, Alsace Township.
She enjoyed crafting and playing cards.
Surviving are her three children: Kenneth A. Manwiller, widow of Brenda of Ruscombmanor Township; Barry M. Manwiller, husband of Nancy (Osborne) of Oley Township and Sandra L. (Manwiller), wife of Jeffrey G. Pemberton of Fredericksburg, VA.
Other survivors include her six grandchildren: Molly Manwiller, Kelly Willcox, Emily Fisher, Alex Manwiller, Melissa Pemberton, and Kevin Pemberton; five great grandchildren, Autumn Pemberton, Chloe, Dustin and Caleb Willcox and Mikaela Fisher.
She was preceded in death by five siblings: Paul Breitegam, Jr., Ruth Wagner, Mae Hehr, Herbert Breitegam and Dorothy Keffer.
Services will be held Saturday, November 27th at 11 a.m./p.m. at Zion-Spies Evangelical Reformed Church, 318 Spies Church Road, Reading, PA 19606. A viewing will be held from 10-11 a.m. in the church. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
