On the morning of August 23, 2023, Jean Mae Weidenhammer, 97, passed away peacefully, due to natural causes, at Columbia Cottage, Wyomissing.
She was the widow of Charles D. “Buck” Weidenhammer, who died March 14, 1988.
Born May 15, 1926, in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Lloyd R. and Regina F. (Sims) Hunsberger.
Jean was a member of Alsace Lutheran Church, Hyde Park.
She worked numerous jobs but was basically a stay-at-home mom and lived for her three boys and their children.
Jean always enjoyed painting, playing bingo, and going to the casino.
Surviving are her three sons: Raymond C. “Corky” Weidenhammer, husband of Barbara of Fleetwood; John D. Weidenhammer, husband of Valerie of Bybee, TN; and James R. Weidenhammer, husband of Lisha of Muhlenberg Township.
Jean is also survived by her seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her two siblings: Richard L. Hunsberger and Dolores L. Spannuth.
