Jeanette Nerry, 71, passed away February 7, 2025 at her Wyomissing residence surrounded by her loving family.
She was the widow of Jimmy Lopez who passed away June 27, 2007.
Born April 21, 1953, in Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of Ramona Rivera Rogers
Jeanette worked as a correctional officer at the notorious Rikers Island Prison for a majority of her working years and then later became an EMT. In her free time you could find her shopping for almost anything. From Jewelry to kitchen/house appliances Jeanette had a good eye to know a deal when she saw one. When not shopping, Jeanette was always on the go and loved to travel. She loved to go to Atlantic City where she enjoyed playing the slots and soaking up sun on the beach. She was a great gourmet cook and baker. Jeanette would host holidays and birthdays where she would share her special meals with her family. Having all her family in the same place is what brought her true happiness.
Surviving are three children: Jessica Lopez Rhodes, wife of Jeffrey Scott Rhodes of Pottstown; Jacob Padilla, husband of Shirley (Ortiz) Padilla of Allentown; and Pedro Morales, husband of Alicia Arly (Davis) Morales of Blandon.
As well as two stepdaughters, Cynthia and Milagros.
