Jennifer Marie Toplak

Jennifer Marie Toplak, 54, of Maidencreek Township, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2024 at Tower Health – Reading Hospital.

She was the loving wife of Thomas V. Sedlacek who she married on July 7, 2023.

Born May 23, 1970, in Mineola, NY, she was a daughter of Gene and Carolyn M. (Wise) Toplak of Temple.

Jen was a 1988 graduate of Sewanhaka High School, Floral Park, NY.  She then went on to earn her bachelor’s degree from Adelphi University, Garden City, NY, and her master’s degree from Immaculata College, where she majored in music therapy.

A counselor who worked with teens who had depression and anxiety, Jen was most recently employed by Tower Health, where she worked for the past 6 years.

Music was a big part of Jen’s life; she herself played the guitar and was the proud mother of a great musician (Cody).

Jennifer was a very active member of Holy Guardian Angels R.C. Church where she served as a Eucharistic minister as well as a lector. 

Surviving, in addition to her parents and husband, are her three sons: Nathaniel Tobiah-Luke Toplak, Cody Jace Toplak, and Elijah Jacob Kopp, all at home. 

Jen also leaves behind her brother, Jeffrey Toplak of Reading.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Holy Guardian Angels R.C. Church, 3121 Kutztown Road, Muhlenberg Township. 

A visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. 

Burial will be at Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.
