Jerry Martin Cerar, 81, passed away January 30, 2025 at the Suburban Community Hospital.
He was the husband of Patricia Ann (Kozak) Cerar whom he married on March 19, 1983.
Born October 8, 1943, in Uniontown, PA, he was the son of the late Charles Cerar and Francis (Murin) Cerar.
After graduating from high school in 1962, he went straight into the Navy where he served four years during the Vietnam War. During his time in Vietnam he found a love for photography and that passion followed him home. Jerry started his own photography business where he would take wedding pictures for couples.
Jerry lived a life full of curiosity, passion, and dedication. A proud Slovenian at heart, he embraced many interests that enriched his life and the lives of those around him. As he grew older, Jerry still enjoyed spending time on the computer and taking photos. He also found baking as a hobby and excelled at it. Jerry was known for making a killer cheesecake. His love for jazz music filled his home with rhythm and soul, while his tinkering with computers sparked his boundless creativity and problem-solving skills. Jerry had a passion for aviation that he pursued with flight simulators, single prop planes, a glider experience, and a hot air balloon adventure. He was an avid reader, immersing himself in the worlds of Tom Clancy and James Patterson, and had an insatiable thirst for knowledge, always eager to take on a new challenge. Jerry was like a father figure to his grandchildren and loved his family deeply.
Surviving are four children: Kathleen Cox of Pottstown; Joseph Constable-Snook, husband of Patrick Constable-Snook of Long Beach, California; Tracey Ann Cerar of New Jersey; and Jerry Martin Cerar Jr.
Three grandchildren are also surviving: Jeannette (Cox) Fritz, wife of Shawn Fritz; Ashley Cox; and Justin Cox.
Surviving are also six great-grandchildren: Damien Fritz; Melanie Fritz; Jamie Fritz; Lucian Brady; Rowan Travis; and Xander Travis.
