Jose Muriel

Jose Ivan Muriel, 41, passed away suddenly on April 15, 2023.

Born in Puerto Rico, he was the son of Carmen and Gumersindo Torres, Reading.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his beloved wife, Jennifer Muriel, and two children, Jaxson and Jaylyn, Exeter Township.

Other survivors include a brother, Jose Raul Muriel, and his wife, Kimberly, of Reading; two sisters,

Joselyn Wynter and her husband, Lamar, Reading; and Joany Muriel, Reading; a half-sister, Carla M. Muriel; 10 nieces and nephews; and several aunts and uncles.

Jose was a 1999 graduate of Reading High School.

He was employed for more than 15 years in the maintenance department of Sweet Street Desserts, Reading.

Jose was a devoted family man who enjoyed cooking, playing video games, and watching movies.

Services will be held Saturday, April 22 at Friedens Lutheran Church, 1076 Memorial Highway, Oley, starting with a visitation at 1 p.m.  A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., with a reception afterwards.
