Joseph Robert Bender

Joseph Robert Bender, 78, of Wyomissing, passed away on August 3, 2024, in his Wyomissing residence. 

Born on December 25, 1945, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Reading. He was the son of the late Paul and Clara (Hittner) Bender. 

Joe attended St. Paul’s Grade School and graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1964.   After high school he worked at Polymer Plastics Corporation until he entered the military service and served for two years in the United States Army.  After military service he worked for a short time at the Metropolitan Edison Company . After leaving the Metropolitan Edison Company, he worked at Carpenter Technologies for over thirty years as a Mechanist and retired in 2007.

Surviving is one brother, Paul J. Bender, Jr., husband of Marlene, of Bridgewater, Virginia and three nephews, Paul A., Daniel J. and Stephen M. Bender.

At Joseph's request services will be private.
