Karen Bongarzone, 61, of Boyertown, passed away Sunday, November 30, 2025, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
She was the wife of Michael Bongarzone, whom she married on August 3rd, 1986.
Born January 18, 1964, she was the daughter of the late George Dorrell and Thelma Dorrell
During her working years she was employed as a cook for a number of institutions. Some of the organizations where she worked were Frederick Living, Manor Care Nursing Home, Chestnut Knoll Nursing Home, and she ended her career as a cook at Kutztown University where she worked for ten plus years.
When Karen wasn’t working she still enjoyed cooking for family and friends. She would always put others before herself. She also had a strong interest in garden gnomes and sunflowers. She was known for her warm smile, her steady kindness, and her ability to make anyone feel welcome. What brought her true joy was spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband Michael, her children Angela and Anthony, and her grandson Richard.
