Kent Reider Fretz, 88, of Oley, peacefully passed away Monday, April 6, 2026, at the Tower Health Medicine & Rehabilitation Center.

He was the loving husband of Marjorie (Grabowski) Fretz, who he married in 2004.

Born May 21, 1937, in Quakertown, PA, he was the son of the late Joseph Norman Fretz and Kathryn (Reider) Fretz.

Kent was a 1955 graduate of Quakertown High School and later graduated from Moravian University in 1959. After graduating college he joined the Army and after further training, a Counter Intelligence Corps assignment at Fort Holabird, Baltimore, MD, Kent was assigned as a special agent in the Pentagon Counter Intelligence Force in Washington, DC from 1960 to 1963..

In the mid '70's, Kent began employment at the Pittman Division until his retirement in 2004 where his positions included Purchasing, Production Manager, Plant Manager and lastly as the President of the Pittman Division of Penn ENG. & MFG. CORP., located in Harleysville.

In Kent's free time he enjoyed spending it on the golf course with his wife, Margie. He liked to stay active and would restore old furniture and even published a continued genealogy history of the Fretz and Reider Family's.  His greatest joy was his involvement in his grandchildren's lives being an active spectator at their various swim/dive meets, water polo matches, and youth softball games.  Drawing with his grandkids and playing chess with his grandson were other hobbies of his. Family meant the world to Kent and they brought him true joy.

Surviving are four children: Inga (Fretz) Litz, wife of Jeffrey of Vermont; Dana (Fretz) Giuliano, wife of Jason of Wilmington, DE; Erin (Dority) Cammarano of Exeter, PA; Brian Dority, husband of Valerie (Kern), of Oley, PA.
