Kristi Lyn Wojcik, 29, of Tampa, Florida and formerly of Shillington, PA, passed away January 23, 2024 following a vehicle accident on I-75 in Manatee County, Florida.
Born April 12, 1994 in Reading, PA, she was a daughter of Steven A., and Lisa A. (Mock) Wojcik.
She was a 2012 graduate of Governor Mifflin High School and attended Lock Haven University, where she loved playing on the rugby team.
Kristi was employed for 6 years with IWCO, Hamburg, Tower Behavioral Health, Bern Township, and most recently as a phlebotomist with Tampa General Hospital.
Her love for the beach began young with family vacations in Ocean City, Maryland, where she always wanted to stay longer than just the week. Any opportunity she had, she could be found on her paddle board, playing with her dog in the ocean or just sitting on the beach waiting for sunset. Her favorite hour of the day ~ the golden hour as she called it. Kristi was so happy to fulfill a lifelong dream when she moved to Florida to live at the beach.
She was a free spirit with the biggest smile and loved hanging out with her friends, laughing, dancing, and well you know. Kristi was a friend you could count on for whatever anyone needed, she was always there no matter what.
Kristi is survived by her brother, Kurt D. Wojcik; maternal grandmother, Linda A. (Gernert), widow of Larry B. Mock, of Shillington, and Aunt Fay and Uncle Danny, who were like grandparents to her.
She is also survived by Uncle Kevin, Uncle Keith, Aunt Jess, Aunt Tamra, and Aunt Lisa.
Cousins: Eric, Kaleigh, Brooke, Cortney, Mackenzie, Mandy, Danny, and Titi Kristi's babies; Annabelle and Caidon.
Kristi also leaves behind several other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
She was also predeceased by her paternal grandfather, John A. Wojcik; her maternal great grandmother, Anna E. (Koch) Gernert; her cousin, Danny and Lisa Perrotto; and her fur babies: Cami, Roger and her beloved Kita.
Kristi will be deeply missed by her dogs: BamBam and Kamea, who are being cared for by the Pet Resources Foundation.
A celebration of Kristi will be held Saturday, February 3rd at 11:30 am in Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. A visitation will be held Saturday from 10:00 - 11:30 in the funeral home.
The family would like to thank Pet Resources Foundation for their compassionate care during this difficult time and ask that in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the foundation at 440 North Falkenburg Road, Tampa, Florida 33619. Please memo Kristi Wojcik.
As Kristi would request, please do not wear black “it just makes you more upset because you know why you’re there and puts you in your feels more”. Her favorite color is blue.
