Laverne Richard Fronheiser, 96, of Boyertown, died March 28, 2026, at Tower Health – Reading Hospital.
He was the husband of Dorothy Pauline (Reppert) Fronheiser, who died in 2000.
Born September 30, 1929, in Washington Township, he was a son of the late Harvey Yerger and Helen Gross (Weller) Fronheiser.
Laverne attended Boyertown School District and Reitnauers School, Washington Township.
He was employed with Great American Knitting Mills, Bechtelsville, for 5 years. He then went on to work as a fruit farmer for Unger Fruit Farm, Boyertown, where he worked for 16 years. He retired from Red Cheek Apple Juice Company his entire career.
Laverne was a member of Good Shepherd United Church of Christ, Boyertown.
He was a member of Pike Township Sportsmen’s Association and a life member of New Berlinville Fire Company.
Laverne enjoyed hunting small and big game, and he loved to listen to country music.
Surviving is his daughter, Kathleen A. (Fronheiser), wife of Jack T. Bowers of Muhlenberg Township; his granddaughter, Maureen Ann (Warnick), wife of Scott K. Weaver of Exeter Township; his three grandchildren, Steven K. Weaver; Katie A., wife of David Griesemer; and Sara L., wife of Michael Doyle; and his three great-great grandchildren, Mackenzie F. Hitchcock, Mia L. Griesemer and Bryan W. Griesemer.
Also surviving is his brother, Grant K. Fronheiser, husband of Sallie E. of Exeter Township.
Laverne was preceded in death by his sister, Fern V. (Fronheiser) Imbody and her husband Daniel, and by his brother, Kenneth C. Fronheiser and his wife Marguerite.
Services will be held on Monday, April 6th at 11 a.m. at Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 423 Main Street, Oley. A viewing will be held from 10-11 a.m. Burial will be at Hill Church Cemetery, Pike Township.
