Linda Ann Hess

Linda Ann Hess, 76, of Hamburg, passed away August 18, 2024 at Penn State Health St. Joseph.

She was the loving wife of Jimmy Hess, to whom she married on September 21, 1968.

Born October 10, 1947 in Boyertown, PA, she was the daughter of the late Charles William and LuLu (Brintzenhoff) Brannan.

Linda was a 1965 graduate of Boyertown High School. 

She was employed in the retail department of Walmart. 

Linda was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan. She also liked the Reading Phillies, Ohio State football, crocheting, knitting, camping, but most of all spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

She also had a love for cardinals and after death hopes she can find beauty and serenity in the trees that that live in. 

Surviving in addition to her husband are her two daughters: Jennifer, wife of Brian Schlosman of Shoemakersville and Christine, wife of Joseph McAnally of Hamburg. 

In addition are numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and a sister Doris, wife of Robert Stoudt of Annville. 

She was preceded in death by her brother: William Charles Brannan. 

A funeral service will be held Thursday, August 22nd at 5pm Stitzel Funeral Home, 423 Main Street, Oley PA 19547. A viewing will be held from 2-5 pm at the funeral home.
