It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that the family of Loretta Marie (Guido) Maskulak, of Cumru Township, announces her passing on July 3rd, 2021. She passed away in her home peacefully and in God’s Grace. Loretta was born in Reading on October 26, 1933. She was the daughter of the late Samuel and Josephine (Grato) Guido. She was the widow of John A. Maskulak, who passed away September of 2015, after being married for 53 years.
Loretta will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Lisa Marie (Maskulak) Elias, wife of James Elias of Douglassville and granddaughters Alyssa and Ariana Elias. She is survived by her brother, Samuel J. Guido of Blandon, and her sister Rosetta (Guido) Beck of Port St. Lucy, Florida, and their families. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She loved each one of them with all of her heart. She will be fondly remembered by her loving friends as well. She was known to all that loved her as Grammy.
She is predeceased by her brothers Santo S. Guido, Joseph M. Guido, and Frances W. Guido and two sisters Nancy (Guido) Schein and Dolores (Guido) Breen.
Loretta went to Reading High School and was a graduate of McCann School of Business. She enjoyed spending her time with her friends of the Red Hat Society and her family, especially her daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 9th at 11am in the Chapel of St. George at Gethsemane Cemetery, 3139 Kutztown Road, Muhlenberg Township. A viewing will be held from 10 to 10:45am at Stitzel Family Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. Entombment will be in Gethsemane Mausoleum.
