Louise Mary (Cagnetti) Durinzi, 93, passed away June 18, 2025 with her loving children and grandchildren by her side.
She was the widow of Armando F. Durinzi, Sr. who died in June, 2014.
Born January 29, 1932, in Youngstown, OH, she was one of four daughters born to the late Gabriele and Maddelana (Gabbappini) Cagnetti.
Lousie was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother whose life revolved around the love of her immediate and extended family and the close friendships developed over her lifetime.
Louise had a passion to create and applied her talents to everything she did, including artistry (drawing & painting), sewing, design and culinary just to name a few. Her love of cooking/baking lead to owning and operating Mama’s Recipe Foods and later Louisa’s Catering, a business she operated for most of her career. In her earlier years, she worked alongside family in the mushroom business supporting her parents and the her husband.
An active member of Holy Guardian Angels R.C. Church, Hyde Park, Louise was a devout Catholic, participating in the church choir and volunteering with various church events over the years.
Surviving are her three children: Rene’ A. Wummer, widow of Michael L. Wummer of Exeter Township; Carlo G. Durinzi of Wyomissing; and Armando F. Durinzi Jr., husband of Melissa J. (Heim) Durinzi of Muhlenberg Township.
Also surviving are her six grandchildren: Zachary M. Wummer, fiancé of Melisa Perez; Andrew M. Wummer husband of Emily A.; Jacqueline M. Torres, wife of Josue; Julia A. Messersmith, wife of Brian; Armando F. Durinzi III.; and Andre G. Durinzi and eight grandchildren: Atticus, Killian, Joselyn, Josue, Isabella, Eva, Mason, and Noah.
The Cagnetti girls were well known in the community. Louise is survived by her sister Mary Fitzgerald of Flying Hills, and was preceded in death by her two sisters, Sarah Ahrens and Carmella Santoni.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, June 27, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Holy Guardian Angels R.C. Church, 3121 Kutztown Road, Reading, A viewing will be held from 9 - 11 a.m. at the church. Entombment will follow at Gethsemane Cemetary.
