Marcia Conver

Marcia Anne (Hain) Conver, 88, of Shillington, passed away Friday, April 11, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard G. Albright on September 18, 1986, and by her second husband, Charles M. Conver on January 1, 2009.

Born November 2, 1936, in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Elwood Hain, Sr. and Helen (Zientek) Hain.

Marcia was a 1954 graduate of Reading High School and later went on to obtain a bachelor's degree in accounting from Albright College where she graduated from in 1978.

She was a member of the Phi Delta Sigma Sorority and belonged to the Honorary Alumni Sorority at Albright College.

An accountant, Marcia, was employed for the City of Reading for 21 years, retiring in 2002.

Marcia was a very active member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Laureldale for many years.  During her time there, she taught Sunday School, was a member of congregational council, and served as a lector, lay assistant, and eucharistic minister.

She also served on the board of Pagoda Federal Credit Union.

Marcia is survived by two daughters: Stacey L. (Albright) Raker of Shillington and Melanie L. (Albright), wife of Donald Kummerer of Leesport.

Also surviving are her 12 grandchildren: Keenan and Kyle Albright, Alan, Seth, and Collin Gonzalez, Carly Dorman, Nicole Reels, Lindsey Kummerer, and Jessica, Shawn, Derrick, and Jordan Raker.  There are also 19 great grandchildren and one great-great grandson surviving.

In addition, she is survived by a brother, Elwood H. Hain Jr. of Kenhorst.

She was predeceased in death by three of her children: Betsy A. (Albright) Gonzalez; Robert C. Albright; and Lisa M. (Albright) Dorman; two grandchildren, Michael Dorman and Rachael Gonzalez, and her brother, Richard E. Hain.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
