Margaret “Peggy” Anna (Jacob) Malenchek, 76, died September 20, 2023 in her Maidencreek Township residence.
Born in Phoenixville, PA on October 23, 1946, she was a daughter of the late Augustus Jacob Sr., and Margaret (Lawlor) Jacob.
She was a 1964 graduate of Phoenixville High School.
Margaret was a dedicated waitress who loved her loyal customers. She waitress until she was 70; last working for O’Grady’s, Phoenixville.
She was a United States Air Force Veteran.
Margaret loved caring for her children, reading, crafting, antiquing, and trying new recipes.
She is survived by 7 children: Gregory Malenchek of Winter Springs, Florida; Margaret, wife of Daniel Leonard of Pottstown; Joseph Malenchek, fiancé of Maureen Emanuel of Spanish Wells, Bahamas; Thomas, husband of Tabby (Dry) Malenchek of Pottstown; Mary, wife of Thomas Reppert of Maidencreek Township; Stephen Malenchek, fiancé of Kelsey Holl of New Holland, PA; and Kathleen Malenchek of Sinking Spring.
Margaret was predeceased by two children: Richard Allen Malenchek, and Rebecca Mae Malenchek.
She was the proud grandmother to 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Other survivors include two siblings: Anna Farkas, and Patricia Wagner.
She was also predeceased by a brother, Augustus Jacob Jr.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, September 29th at 11:30 am in Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, 3121 Kutztown Road, Hyde Park, with a memorial luncheon to follow.
A visitation will be held Friday from 10:30 – 11:30 am in the Church.
Burial with Military Honors will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Pottstown.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Animal Rescue League, 58 Kennel Road, Birdsboro, PA 19508.
