Maria E. (Diaz) Hivner

On Thursday, November 25, 2021 , Maria E. "RE" Hivner, loving mother of two daughters and grandmother of five grandchildren, passed away, unexpectedly, at her residence in Temple, Pa at the age of 62.

She was the widow of David J. Hivner.

Born, January 23, 1959, in Emmaus, PA, she was a daughter of the late Saro and Anabel (Rinker) Diaz. She retired from Muhlenberg School District in June of 2019, where she worked as a custodian for over 25 years.

Maria enjoyed family time and gatherings, board games, and true story movies. She LOVED and was an avid collector of Lucile Ball memorabilia. She loved all animals, especially her fur kitties. Her favorite color was blue, she loved cheesecakes and peanut butter cups. She was tough and didn't take crap from anyone.

Surviving are her two daughters: Tiffany S. (Diaz) Yob of Reading, PA and Jennifer T. (Diaz) Beebe of Temple, PA; her five grandchildren: Dylan T. Yob of Kutztown, PA, Hailey M. Yob of Wolmesldorf, Ethan D. Yob of Reading, Ashleigh E. Yob of Reading and Gavin A. Beebe of Temple.

Also surviving are her four brothers: Joseph P. Rinker of Oregon, David A. Rinker of Macungie, Juan Boria of Reading and Israel Boria, Jr. of Reading.

Due to holidays, a celebration of life will be postponed until mid to late February 2022; invitations will be sent out.
