Marianne J. Faust

Marianne J. (Slowik) Faust, 84, died July 27, 2022 in her Maidencreek Township residence.

Born August 21, 1937, in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Lottie (Soltysik) Slowik.

Marianne was the beloved wife of Franklin S. Faust, whom she married on February 9, 1957. 

She was a graduate of Reading Catholic High School.

A member of Holy Guardian Angels R.C. Church, Hyde Park, Marianne was an active member of HGA Women’s Club, serving as its President in 1982-1983. 

She was employed with Holy Guardian Angels, as a secretary, since 1977, retiring in 2013.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are her four children: Cheryl A. Faust of Macungie; Michael A., husband of Michelle Faust of Golden, CO; Kathleen L., wife of Alfonso DePippo of Scarsdale, NY; and Kimberly A., wife of Daniel Browne of Fair Haven, NJ.

There are also seven grandchildren: Amy and Lauren DePippo, Daniel and Jessica Browne and Ethan and Samuel Faust.

Marianne was preceded in death by her grandson, Nicholas DePippo on June 7, 2015.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Guardian Angels Church, 3121 Kutztown Road, Reading (Muhlenberg Township), PA 19605.  A visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.  Burial will be private at Gethsemane Cemetery.
