Marjorie Ann (Hibschman) Rothermel

Marjorie Ann Rothermel, 94, formerly of Bern Township, died February 3, 2026, at Complete Care at Berkshire, Exeter Township.

She was the widow of Forrest W. “Babe” Rothermel; they shared almost 59 years of marriage.

Born December 13, 1931, she was a daughter of the late George Harvey and Beulah Edith (Keim) Hibschman.

Marjorie was a 1949 graduate of Ontelaunee High School.  She attended Kutztown State Teachers College.

She was a member of Gernants Church, Leesport, and attended and sang in the choir at Trinity UCC, Leesport.

Marjorie was a member of Berks Encore and enjoyed doing embroidery and singing.

Surviving is her daughter, Kathleen Louise (Rothermel), widow of Thomas R. Gilmore of Reading; and her grandson, Zachary R., husband of EileenE. (Koller) Gilmore; and three great grandchildren, Lilah, Jack, and Charlotte Gilmore.

Services will be held Wednesday, February 11th at 12 p.m. at Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale.  A viewing will be held from 11 a.m. -12 p.m.  Burial will be at Leesport Cemetery.
