Martha Mary Satter

Martha Mary Satter, 99, of Exeter Township passed away September 8, 2023 in the Celebration Villa of Exeter. She was the wife of Edwin C. Satter, who passed away in 1995.

Born December 25, 1923 in Oley, PA, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Magdalene (Hartman) Troxel.

Martha enjoyed bingo, country stars Donny and Marie, loved going out to eat, eating snacks “cookies” but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

She was a member of Zion Spies Evangelical Church, Reading.

Surviving are her children: Jean, wife of the late Richard Caplinger of Temple; Donald, husband of Linda Satter of Reading.

Grandchildren: Richard Caplinger III, husband of David Shaub; Debra, wife of Barry Hamm; Bonnie Satter and partner John Hicks and Brian Satter.

Also surviving are her great grandchildren: Audrey Carosiello and Katrina Hamm.

She was preceded in death by 7 siblings.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 12th at 11am from the Stitzel Funeral Home, 423 Main Street, Oley. A viewing will be held from 10-11am at the funeral home. Burial will be in Spies-Zion Cemetery.
