Martha Marie (Suzadail) Yednock

Martha Marie (Suzadail) Yednock, 100, of Temple, died April 1, 2025 at Laureldale Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Muhlenberg Township.

She was the widow of Harry Yednock who died in 1990.

Born July 30, 1924, in New Philadelphia, Schuylkill County, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Wassel) Suzadail.

Martha was a 1942 graduate of Blythe High School, New Philadelphia.

She worked for a dress factory in New Philadelphia, as a sorter, for 12 years.  Subsequently, she was employed as a cafeteria aide and playground aide for 28 years, retiring in 1994. 

Martha was an active member of Holy Guardian Angels R.C. Church, Hyde Park.

She loved dancing the jitterbug and was an avid Philadelphia sports fan, especially of the Flyers.  When Martha wasn’t dancing or watching sports, she could be found cooking or cleaning.

She is survived by her two sons: Ronald, husband of Wendy Yednock of Muhlenberg Township and Thomas Yednock of Gilbertsville.

Also surviving are her three grandchildren: Daniel, Rachel, and Michael Yednock.

Martha was preceded in death by her four siblings: Mary Kreydt, Agatha Suzadail, Francis “Fritz” Spokas, and Vincent Suzadail.

A Mass of Christina Burial will be celebrated Monday April 7, 2025 at 10 am at Holy Guardian Angels R.C. Church, 3121 Kutztown Rd, Reading.  A viewing will be held from 9-10 a.m. at the church.  Burial will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery.
