Martin Klein

Martin Lawrence Klein, 89, of Reading, died May 20, 2024 in Penn State Health / St. Joseph.

He was the husband of Mary Ann (Walbert) Klein where they were happily married for 62 years.

Born April 12, 1935 in Reading, PA, he was a son of the late Martin and Anna Marie (Harter)(Lorish)(Neal) Klein.

Martin attended North West Junior High and worked at Dana Corporation for 40 years.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing; was an avid Phillies fan and loved going to Jake’s Flea Market in Barto.

Martin was also a lifetime member of the YMDA (Young Mens Democratic Club).

He is survived by his brother John Lorish along with brother-in-law and sister-in-law; Brenda (Ustaszewski), wife of Lewis Famalaro of Lititz.

Other survivors include his God daughter, Jamie Messner and his God son, Scott Klein. Along with six nieces, five nephews, three great nieces, and nine great nephews. 

Martin was predeceased by his brother, David Klein.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, May 25, 2024 at 11:30 AM in the Chapel of St. George at Gethsemane Cemetery, 3139 Kutztown Road, (Muhlenberg Township), Reading, PA 19605.

A viewing will be held Saturday from 10:00 – 11:00 AM in Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale.

Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery.
