Mary Stufflet Obituary

Mary Jane Stufflet, 94, of Reading, passed away Thursday, June 4, 2026, at Berks Heim Nursing Home.

Born January 6, 1932, and raised in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Harry Borrell and Mabel (Schlappig) Borrell.

Mary attended Reading High School up until 10th grade and then got a job in order to help provide for her family. She was employed by Astor Knitting Mills and Narrow Fabrics Industries as a seamstress.

In Mary’s free time she enjoyed knitting hats for cancer support groups and helping anywhere she could. Mary would bake cakes for the senior center and participate in bingo. When not helping others she liked completing word searches, loved reading mystery novels, and going on bus trips with friends. Spending time with her family is what brought her true joy in life and she always looked forward to holiday gatherings.

Surviving are two daughters, Judy Quinones of Reading, and Jacqueline Eyrich, wife of Al of Shillington.

Mary is also survived by seven grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Linda Linderman, wife of Barry, one grandson, Eric,  and six siblings.

"Mom will always be loved and remembered by her family and friends. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and cherished her."

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
