Michele Lynne (Speck) Zurawski, 55, of Shillington, passed away unexpectedly on November 18, 2024.
Born March 9, 1969, in West Reading, PA, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Irvin Speck and Barbara Ann (Motacki) Speck Brizek.
She was a 1987 graduate of Wilson High School and Reading/Muhlenberg Vo-Tech where she earned her Licensed Practical Nursing license.
Michele was last employed as a sales representative with Cintas, Reading.
She was previously employed 10 years as a territory manager with Miller-Keystone Blood Center, Reading.
Michele volunteered at several Berks County organizations, including Altrusa International of Reading Berks; Family Promise of Berks County; Veterans Making a Difference; Opportunity House; and Berks Women in Motion.
She received “The Spirit of Berks County Volunteerism and Community Service Award” from the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in March 2014.
Michele enjoyed bargain shopping, crafting and designing, tanning, and spending time with friends.
Most of all, she loved spending time with her son and watching him play baseball.
She was the proud mother of her son, Chase Michael Zurawski, companion of Jessica Demarte of Cornelius, North Carolina.
Other survivors include her son’s father, Michael C. Zurawski of Spring Township; a stepfather, George M. Brizek Jr., of Spring Township; brother, Michael T. Speck of Lewes, Delaware; half-brother, Zachary J. Brizek, Spring Township; and a close cousin, Deb Geiger.
