Milton A. (Rip) Ripple, 98, of the Highlands at Wyomissing and formerly of Muhlenberg Park, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2026. His wife Jeanne E. (Trenaman) passed away on November 23, 2017. They were married on April 11, 1953.
Born in Reading, PA, on March 3, 1928, he was the son of the late William A. and Rosie A. (Umbenhauer) Ripple.
He was a 1946 graduate of Reading High School and a 1950 graduate of Reading Business Institute. Milton served in the U.S. Navy in World War II on the USS Pollux, a supply & troop transport ship, in the Pacific Theater.
Milton was a member of Masonic Lodge, Chandler No. 227, F & A.M. Scottish Rite, Institute of Industrial Engineers, Travelers Protective Association, Temple Fire Company, Berks Firemen’s Association, Reading Firemen’s Relief Association, and Riverside Fire Company # 11 where he had been the financial secretary for 11 years, Reading High School Alumni Association, Berks Encore, and the Tuckerton - Nifty Fifty Club. He was also a member of Renewed Spirit Lutheran Church in Reading.
He was employed by Textile Machine Works, Rockwell International, and Arrow International as an industrial engineer.
Surviving are many nieces and nephews as well as grand and great-grand nieces and nephews.
Milton was predeceased by eight siblings: Sisters: Elizabeth M. (Ripple) Werner, Catherine A. (Ripple) Geissler, Virginia M. Ripple, and Karlene A. (Ripple) Miller. Brothers: William G. Ripple, Robert P. Ripple, George E. Ripple, and Karl A. Ripple.
A viewing will be held from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 3rd, 2026, at the Stitzel Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale, PA 19605. Burial will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery in Sinking Spring.
