Minerva B. Gauker, 97, of Fleetwood, passed away February 18, 2025 at Lauderdale Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was the widow of Lee Schaeffer Gauker who died October 12, 2003.
Born May 20, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Warren K. Boyer and Elizabeth L. (Sterner) Boyer.
Minerva attended school up to 8th grade at the Mellon Grade School, Rockland Township.
She was an active member of the Fleetwood Grange #1839 and a former member of the Eastern Star Chapter #336. In her free time Minerva loved to garden around the house and spend time watching her grandchildren. Family is what brought her true happiness. She was always on the move and loved to travel with her late husband. They would enjoy trips to Europe and to other parts of the United States. Minerva was also a member of the Blandon Seniors where they would take bus trips to numerous locations.
Surviving are five children: Barry L., husband of Jackie L. (Neider) Gauker of Richmond Township; Bruce A., husband of Beth A. (Knoll) Gauker of Richmond Township; Carol A. (Gauker), wife of William A. Strause of Ruscombmanor Township; Fay E. (Gauker), wife of David J. Absalom of Richmond Township; and Sandra M. (Gauker), wife of George A. Stump of Richmond Township.
Also surviving are eleven grandchildren and one step grandchild.
Twelve great grandchildren and two step great grandchildren are also surviving.
She is predeceased in death by fourteen siblings and one great grandchild.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
