Morris David “Dave” Stauffer, 77, formerly of Boyertown, died July 26, 2025 in San Jose, CA.
He was the devoted husband of Faye (Schlegel) Stauffer, with whom he shared 56 years of marriage. The love of his life, he frequently sent her cards and handwritten love notes just because. He was always happiest by her side.
Born October 25, 1947, in Pottstown, Berks County, he was a son of the late David Morris and Jennie Craig (Lutz) Stauffer.
Dave was a 1965 graduate of Boyertown High School. He graduated from San Jose State College with a bachelor’s degree in physics.
He and his wife moved to California so he could further his career in the semi-conductor industry. He retired in 2011 after 45 years in the field in order to travel and spend time with family.
After retirement, Dave volunteered at Kaiser Santa Clara Hospital, eventually earning a commemorative brick in their Volunteer Garden which recognized his years of service.
He was an avid puzzler and a voracious reader (he especially loved mysteries). Additionally, he enjoyed woodworking, science, music, and dancing. He loved to take road trips with his wife.
Dave was the loving father of Emily E. Ah Sing and Cathryn C. Stauffer of California and grandfather to Megan and Eleanor Ah Sing.
He was a brother to Russell Stauffer, husband of Deborah; John Stauffer, husband of MaryAnn, the late Paul Stauffer, husband of Mary Anne, and James Stauffer, husband of Susan.
